What’s it like to be a tourist in your hometown? A hometown that is the undisputed party capital of the world, where beer is cheaper than milk, flea markets outnumber department stores and you can either spend 20€ on accommodation for a weekend or 20,000€ for one night.
For one weekend Berlin-based photographer Jörg Brüggemann and a group of eight friends lived the life of the tourist, staying in a hostel, visiting the big sights, the little bars, the big clubs, and of course the Berlin institution of Sunday flea markets. Home base was a Rosenthaler Platz, a neighbourhood that just 25 years ago was walled in but is now an open hub of the new über-trendy Berlin, a place that buzzes with freedom, expression, creativity and life.
The result is more than a lookbook, it is a true story, told in pictures.
Exhibition for 48 days (until 21.07.15)
